Multi-Generation Ski Condo
A ski family bought this slope-side condo when it was built in 1980. It has remained in the same family for 40 years. The next generation decided it was time for a complete makeover and contracted interior designer Amber Hodgins, who referred Sisler Builders to do the work. Top on the upgrade list was to make the condo more durable, attractive, and roomy. We modified a kitchen wall to allow better entrance to the kitchen, which is now open to the living room and includes an eat-at wrap-around bar. The kitchen was completely renovated with subway tiles, cabinets and countertops, and modern appliances. We installed a gas fireplace with a stone veneer in the living room and beautiful floor tiling that resembles wood, and added storage cabinet/closets under the staircase. The bedrooms and bathrooms also received a total facelift, with custom bunkbeds in the kids’ room and new tiling, fixtures, and flooring in the bathrooms. Our custom woodworking team used salvaged materials to create the kitchen/bar countertop and the living room coffee table. The end result is a stunning, semi-modern condo that will withstand the impact of vacation skiers and remain durable and functional for generations to come.
