This home was doubled in size and reconfigured to take
better advantage of a wonderfully sunny site. The structure was extended along
the southerly exposure to add a master suite with octagonal office. The main
floor was enlarged so that dreary kitchen and dining spaces could be relocated to the south side. The kitchen was enhanced further with custom cherry cabinetry, Brazilian granite countertops and
gourmet appliances. To brighten the living room one bedroom in the upper level
was removed to make way for a cathedral ceiling. The remaining two bedrooms were
made accessible by a custom cherry and birch craftsman style stairway and balcony.
Lower level media, office, exercise and laundry areas were finished with cedar accents, and a guest suite was added
above the garage.
